Triquetra have recently completed the External Redecorations and Repairs project to a large hotel in Central London, in two phases over the course of 11 months in 2023.

In the first phase, scaffold was fully erected to the three main elevations of the hotel up to main roof level to enable roof & dormer repairs and window redecorations.

The Dormer Windows were found to be in serious disrepair and full replacement units were manufactured and installed together with replacing the leadwork to the Dormer tops.

All windows to each elevation were also found to be in a poor condition and utilising Repaircare products were found necessary, full repairs were undertaken prior to a full redecoration to ensure the windows were left looking ‘brand new’.

On completion of the first phase, scaffold was then erected to the central courtyard to enable safe access to all of the metal Crittall windows. As with the dormers on phase one, the Crittall windows were in a poor condition and the existing finishes had to be fully stripped prior to being redecorated.

As well as the redecorations, all coping stones were either repaired or renewed, minor masonry repairs were undertaken throughout and the asphalt flat roofs were applied with solar reflective paint.

This project needed careful planning and programming as the hotel was still in occupation during the Construction Phase. Our dedicated site team carefully liaised with the hotel to ensure we had access on a floor by floor basis to minimise disruption to the hotel.

All stakeholders were happy on completion and the project finished under budget.
